Have you recently got the following types of text messages in the name of Walmart?

  • “W: Guess what, NAME! Your unique code 990291 printed on your receipt from 3/13 came 2nd in March draw: d1gsf info/0U7FqL8T99”
  • “W: Congrats, NAME! The activation code 599390 printed on your receipt from Mar. 15th came 1st in Walmart draw: d1gsf info/0U5Zn98rhE”
  • “W: Great news, NAME! Your winning code 428600 printed on your receipt from March 16 came in 2nd in Walmart giveaway: x7fqe info/7KAJViu2Tp”
  • “W: Congrats, NAME! Your unique code 706142 printed on your receipt from Ar. 28 came in 1st in our giveaway: x7fqe info/7KAJViNAr”
  • “W: Congrats, NAME! Your winning code 602414 printed on your receipt from Mar. 7 came in 1st in our giveaway: x7fqe info/7KAJVi9hFh”
  • “W: Congrats, NAME! Your winning code 141436 printed on your receipt from March 12 came in 2nd in Walmart giveaway: x7fqe info/7KCpYUtEBB”

If you have got the messages similar to above examples, you should know those are phishing messages send with intention to scam you. That’s why you should not click any link provided on such messages, or download anything from such messages, or follow any instruction provided on such messages.
